In addition to our many late night trips to Galveston, USP&E received over 500 phone calls and emails per day for nearly 2 weeks, shattering all previous new business development records and signing on new clients such as Liz Claiborne, Turtle and Hughes, Shell Oil, Dupont, Houston Oil Drilling, Haliburton, Crawford Electric, Lakeside Church, Deli Express, Cisco Foods, Federal Teachers Credit Union, Southwestern Regional Hospital, UPS , Unifirst, Sierra Nevada Ltd and others. USP&E announced today the sale of a large natural gas generator package to a client in Bangladesh. A brand new customer in Chittagong will be taking receipt of their new power plant with full warranty later in 2008. Suffering under the persisting severe nationwide power crisis that is unlikely to be resolved in the near future, our friends and clients in Bangladesh are currently facing a 1500MW power shortage this summer, causing tremendous disruption to the economic and civic arenas of life. Whereas many federal and private organizations have explored rental power, many of our clients are now focusing on the purchase of new and used diesel generators instead. This was mainly due to the excessive costs per unit for these rental generators.
USP&E is very proud to have several projects in the works in Bangladesh and plans once again to deliver much more than our clients expect. Building trust since 1968, USP&E: Powering Business. Empowering People.
